  • 1 small Red onion (or white/yellow onion) diced
  • 1⁄2-1 small Greeen bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbs Tomato paste
  • 1⁄4 c Tomato sauce
  • 2 tbs Ketchup
  • 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbs Brown sugar
  • 2 tbs Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs Garlic powder

Instructions

Step 1

First, in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium high heat and add the chopped onion and bell pepper.

Then push down the center of each piece using the back of a spoon.

Then evenly distribute the sloppy Joe filling into the center of each piece of Texas toast.

Then top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Finally, place them in the oven for about 5 minuters or until the cheese is melted.
