Hearty, Cheesy & Comfort Classic
This cozy hamburger rice casserole is loaded with seasoned ground beef, fluffy rice, creamy sauce, and gooey melted cheese. Itβs simple to make, super filling, and perfect for busy weeknight dinners or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and cook for 2β3 minutes until soft.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Season the beef with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a large bowl, mix together:
- cooked rice
- cooked beef mixture
- cream of mushroom soup
- milk
- half of the cheddar cheese
- half of the mozzarella cheese
- Transfer everything into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese generously on top.
- Bake for 20β25 minutes until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
