Sizzling Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry with Peppers & Steamed Rice

This sizzling garlic chicken stir-fry is quick, flavorful, and perfect for busy days. Juicy chicken, crisp bell peppers, and a rich savory sauce come together in just 25 minutes. Served over steamed jasmine rice, it’s a simple homemade meal everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 2 tablespoons water (for slurry)

  • 1 cup jasmine rice, steamed

For garnish:

  • Sesame seeds

  • Sliced green onions


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Chicken

Heat the sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken and stir-fry for 5–6 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables

In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes, keeping them tender but slightly crisp.

Step 3: Combine and Thicken

Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chili flakes if using. Stir well. Mix the cornstarch with water to make a slurry, then pour it into the pan. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken evenly.

Step 4: Serve

Serve the garlic chicken stir-fry over steamed jasmine rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot.
